Next to the Cathedral, on the Cathedral Road are the gardens of the Chennai Horticultural Society. Covering about 10 hectares, these fairly small gardens are an oasis of place in the bustling city of Chennai. The lawns and trees alternate with colourful and well tended flower beds and there is a collection of the Bonsai art of Japan.
